This blog is designed to support residents spouses and partners while in medical school and residency. Decorating, fitness, cooking, and even being "domestic" (or at least trying to be). I love creating stationary and doing calligraphy! I create invitations for all ocassions. I am 29 years old, newly married, and was just transplanted from my sweet southern life to upstate New York. This blog is just a touch of what my life is like on a daily basis. Welcome to it!

The designing has started....what to do with this house!
I am starting all the inspiration boards and ideas for designing and decorating our new house. I have so many to make and Brett really doesn't have time to help make the decisions and when he gets home some mornings he can hardly keep his eyes open to see the options (okay, and he really has bigger fish to fry these days but that doesnt mean these decisions aren't important). THAT'S WHERE YOU COME IN, I need all the opinions I can get from you guys because, well because I just do. Thats all I have to say about that. CLICK ON THE PAGE TABS BELOW THE HEADER that reads "Our new home away from home"! See you there!

Whitney, I love your blog!! I feel so connected to you! I have decided that I am going to build a bench for my dining table. Okay, I have no dining room, so my dining table is in my living room and consumes half of the room. Okay, I have four chairs, but sometimes, we have six for dinner. I can save room by having a bench that can go next to the wall that people can slide into, rather that pulling out chairs!
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting a bench and needing a hobby. I am inspired by all of your interests. I fell in love with woodworking when I was in occupational therapy school (yes, I took a required woodworking class) As I said, I need a hobby, and most if not all of my furniture could use a make-over. Sanding is very therapeutic when it is at the right level (smile). So, I bet you didn't know that about me. I also love cooking, and am eager to share recipes with you. I can't seem to find the ones you have posted. This is not the most intuitive website, but I am working my way around it. I might even start a blog of my own-that would be another good hobby, huh?
Love you and love to Brett!
